Rupert Wood is an Executive Advisor to FitForCommerce focusing on Malls & Meeting Places leveraging 25 years of experience. He advises the UK practice in helping Malls, Meeting Places and Town/City Centers accelerate growth through investment in digital strategies, innovations, and operations.
Rupert is an established executive leader with strategic and operational experience in the real estate sector having worked for major corporations, including Lendlease and St. Modwen Properties Plc, a FTSE 250 company, where he spent 13 years as a member of the Executive Team.
Prior to FitForCommerce, Rupert worked across multi-real estate sectors and gained extensive experience in delivering transformative real estate solutions. He has created, delivered and managed major mixed-use assets and portfolios executing and delivering strategic business objectives as well as optimizing value through driving transformation and ROI performance whether from acquisition, development, management and divestment. This is underpinned by a clear understanding of the ‘asset journey’ alongside the ‘customer journey’ to establish new ways of working, introducing new technologies, data, and digital transformation opportunities to enhance performance. In all, Rupert has managed almost £2 billion and 4.6 million sqft of GLA across 16 assets and developments covering over 2,000 tenants.
Rupert also serves as Chair of the LandAid Midlands Region Board. LandAid is the Real Estate industry charity working to improve the lives of homeless children & young people in the UK. He is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and received a BSc at the University of Reading.
