Mara has developed cross-channel digital marketing strategies as well as scalable execution plans for ecommerce businesses of many different sizes and levels of evolution. Her expertise includes marketing strategy, email marketing, CRM, marketing analytics, customer acquisition, social media, mobile, international, creative content, personalization, and usability. She covers cross-channel and cross-platform digital marketing that integrates both offline and online customer experiences.
At FitForCommerce, Mara has stepped in as a C-level marketing resource, developing comprehensive digital marketing programs and managing marketing operating budget. She also provides direction for cohesive customer experience across all channels to FitForCommerce clients.
Prior to joining FitForCommerce, Mara led the omnichannel digital marketing team at Saks Fifth Avenue, where she was instrumental in driving the significant digital presence and ecommerce growth. She developed a flash sale business for Saks and launched a start-up ecommerce website for Saks Off 5th, the company’s outlet division. When Saks was acquired by Hudson’s Bay Company (HBC) in 2013, Mara joined HBC Digital, the newly created division responsible for ecommerce and digital marketing for all of the company’s business including Saks Fifth Avenue, Lord & Taylor, Hudson’s Bay and HBC outlets. Mara had previously worked for J.Crew in their digital marketing division where she also launched ecommerce websites and digital marketing for Madewell and J.Crew Factory. She was also part of the first digital advertising team at Entertainment Weekly, Time Inc.
Mara’s work at FitForCommerce has included Aden & Anais, David’s Bridal, Gallup, The Gap, Revman/Kaltex, RevZilla MotorSports, Stein Mart, and The Home Depot.
Mara has a BS in Public Relations from Syracuse University, Syracuse, NY.
