Laura Swanson is a senior consultant at FitForCommerce, with over 20 years of leadership in multi-channel retailing, spanning many areas of expertise – from Buying, Planning & Allocation, Staffing, Marketing Operations, IT/Telecom and Clienteling to Omnichannel Strategy.
Laura had a long career at Lord & Taylor, where she held many senior positions. She was VP of IT/Telecom, rolling out a new POS system to 55 store locations. Following that, she created and implemented a “Selling Services” program, realizing $30 million in client related sales in the first 9 months in addition to achieving an increase of $5.2 million in gift card sales. Laura then transitioned to the Hudson’s Bay Company, where she managed key initiatives, including all data migration for the replatforming of 2 banners, the plan to move photo studio in-house, and the plan and execution of their omnichannel strategy across ecommerce, WCS, WMS, OMS, Customer Service, Pricing & Promotions, and Reference File systems.
At FitForCommerce, Laura’s strategy and selection client work has included Steve Madden, Pam & Gela, Brownells, Silver Star Brands Calvin Klein, Guitar Center, and Dress Barn.
Laura has a BS in Finance from the University of Florida.
