Director of Marketing
Kanaru Fukushima is the Director of Marketing at FitForCommerce, managing all marketing programs. Kanaru is responsible for all FitForCommerce email marketing, corporate websites, event management, external PR and media relationships, content marketing and promotions, social media strategies, and more. Kanaru also handles the execution and promotion of whitepapers, reports, webinars, ebooks, and speaking engagements with sponsoring vendors.
Kanaru organizes FitForCommerce’s involvement with the major conference partners: NRF Retail’s Big Show, Shoptalk, RetailX/IRCE, and Groceryshop. She oversees the booth, help desks, speaking opportunities, as well as the IRCE Ecommerce Technology Workshop (speaker recruitment and content).
Prior to joining FitForCommerce, Kanaru was on the marketing team for an international image recognition technology company, coordinating and integrating various global marketing and communication activities. As the liaison to its Japanese parent company, she also supported and strengthened their relationship.
Kanaru has a BA in Business Administration with concentrations in Marketing and International Business from Ithaca College.
