Jay is an established marketing and retail professional with expertise in ecommerce, digital marketing, and direct response. Experienced in creating effective omnichannel marketing campaigns in the bed & bath, home & garden, consumer electronics, Halloween costumes and décor, gifts and collectibles categories.
Prior to joining FitForCommerce, Jay was Director of Digital Marketing at Bed Bath & Beyond. He managed the company’s ecommerce business channel marketing for BedBathandBeyond.com, BuyBuyBaby.com, HarmonFaceValues.com, and ChristmasTreeShops.com doubling and growing combined sales to more than a billion dollars. Jay built and led the development of digital marketing/media channel strategies and data-driven customer segmentation campaigns to drive online (desktop and mobile) and in-store traffic, as well as sales through organic and paid search, display and social media advertising, affiliate partners, and comparison shopping engines.
Jay also served as Director of Ecommerce at Spencer Gifts and had P&L responsibility for the ecommerce business channel. This included strategy and development of desktop and mobile websites, general management of all ecommerce activities: sales, merchandising, email and digital marketing, budgeting and forecasting, loyalty program, CRM and data driven segmentation, online and in-store marketing campaigns, analytics, insights, social media, sales reporting, and promotion analysis.
Prior to Spencer’s, Jay managed the Franklin Electronic Publishers’ webstore which included P&L responsibility of the direct-to-consumer channel, general management of web operations and developers, marketing and campaign management, merchandising, forecasting, sales reporting, and analysis.
At FitForCommerce, Jay has worked on projects for companies such as Puma, Claire’s, Men’s Wearhouse, GE Appliances, GameStop, SimpliSafe, Ticketmaster, Dollar Tree, MasterCard Advisors, and The Home Depot.
Jay holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Illinois and Bachelor of Science in Economics from Arizona State University.
