FitForCommerce helps national accessory retailer with interim digital leadership during a unprecedented times
Client contacted FitForCommerce when they lost their VP of Digital and needed immediate interim support in running both the US and EU accessory business. The digital business represented a very small percentage of overall revenue and faced both technology and operational challenges. Shortly after our consultant stepped in, the chainstores were closed as part of the 2020 COVID-19 shutdown. Digital became the only revenue-producing channel.
FitForCommerce’s interim VP of Ecommmerce conducted a rapid assessment of the people, process, and technology identifying gaps and quick wins. Our consultant quickly put team meetings and structure in place to begin to address gaps. Communication protocols with pyramid heads were also implemented to ensure all were aligned on the digital opportunities. When stores closed, our consultant lead the digital efforts, as well as the marketing brand efforts.
A comprehensive report was prepared for the Executive Committee and the Board of Directors that walked them the details of the 360 diagnostic. On top of that diagnostic, our consultant also created a detailed plan outlining the needed people, process, and technology needed to execute the plan. Financial plans were developed and reviewed that identified the tool and technology that would be instrumental in driving performance while at the same time cost savings were identified in order to deliver an EDITA plan. Presented forecasts that showed digital revenue growing more than 5x over a 3-year period.
