In a toast to some of the best of Texas furniture retail, Furniture Today will honor Knight Furniture, Swann’s Furniture and Design, and Stacy Furniture with Impact Awards at its upcoming NEXT Conference, Sept. 25-27 at Live! By Loew’s, in Arlington, Texas.
The awards, now in their second year and sponsored by Malouf, recognize retailers who are making a positive impact within their communities.
Each of this year’s honorees is a multi-generational store operator, an accomplishment that reflects the furniture industry’s historic place in America’s communities and the ongoing role that furniture stores will play serving the next generation of home furnishings consumers. Each has also demonstrated an ongoing and consistent commitment to giving back to their respective communities.
The three local retailers will join previously announced Mentorship Award honoree Jake Jabs, founder of American Furniture Warehouse, as retail honorees at this year’s event.
Now in its sixth year, the 2019 NEXT Conference will feature a keynote by digital marketing expert Brian Carter, whose clients include Microsoft, NBC and the U.S. Army, among others. Carter combines industry-leading insights with a razor sharp wit to help companies increase visibility, engagement, sales and profits. He also has worked with clients in the home furnishings industry, developing programs to exponentially increase lead generation while dramatically reducing cost-per-lead.
At a time when the ability to seamlessly blend bricks and clicks grows more important daily, the conference will offer myriad presentations designed to provide fresh insights and best practices in digital and social media marketing.
In addition to a previously mentioned presentation by Craig McAndrews, executive professor at the University of Houston’s C.T. Bauer College of Business, on creating a more effective digital selling organization, this year’s event will also feature omnichannel expert John Bancroft of FitForCommerce. Bancroft will address the critically important steps retailers and manufacturers must undertake and the supporting technologies they need to successfully compete in today’s marketplace.
Also on tap are presentations from Curalate’s Leo Strupczewski and Occipital’s Alex Schiff, which will explore market-moving consumer insights and emerging technologies.
Strupczewski will share insights from recent consumer research into the connection between social media and consumer purchase behavior that will answer such questions as: What actions do consumers take when they make product discoveries online? Why do consumers say they take those actions? And, how do those changes in behavior force changes in the e-commerce landscape?
Schiff will reveal new 3D scanning and visualization technology that is reducing critical user time frames and costs, while opening up the technology to new user segments.
