Thomas Theobald is a senior consultant at FitForCommerce, with over 15 years of technology and ecommerce experience in small and large companies, across the US and Europe.
Most recently, Thomas has been Engagement Manager for Astound Commerce where he managed, developed and led the professional services organization to effectively deliver client solutions, from the client location in Hamburg, Germany, while also managing the efforts of the Ukraine-based development team.
Thomas’s projects included work for Puma US/EU, Lacoste EU, Hugo Boss, Tommy Hilfiger, Versace, Tamaris (German shoe company), Triumph (German lingerie company), and Gortz (German shoe company).
Prior to that, Thomas was the Chief Technical Officer at PrismaStar Companies, in Prague, Czech Republic and London, UK, where he was tasked with a selective refresh of the company’s technology base, with a 3-year horizon – including EU and US data center needs, review of materials for B-round funding, and management of staff for all development, data management and client-facing IT systems.
Thomas’s other European work included COO of LiveScore, Ltd in Prague; director of software development at Ebbon-Dacs in Oxford, UK; and director of web design at Aplus.net in Sofia, Bulgaria. Stateside, Thomas worked as project manager, engineer and developer with various US companies, including Borland Software and OpenTable.
Subsequent to his BA in Biology from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, VA, Thomas received training and certifications in various technology languages.
