Rod Forsythe is a senior consultant at FitForCommerce with over 25 years of experience, specializing in ecommerce platforms (design, technology, implementations, selection and evaluation), web development and project management.
With over 20 years experience in ecommerce Rod has helped over 50 well-known retailers with the selection of ecommerce platforms and managed the implementation of more than 100 domains. A disciplined view into total cost of ownership, features/functions, deployment models and operating costs, provides Rod with the basis for a structured approach.
Rod has also reviewed, in detail, over 20 different leading ecommerce platforms with a focus on pricing, features, go to market strategy and target markets.
Having had senior management roles at NewsComm, Arizona Digital Farms, Crossview, Acquity Group, Vcommerce and shoes.com, Rod is well-versed in all aspects of ecommerce platforms and point solutions. Rod was also Director of Program Management and Technology at Specialty Retail Shops, a company that acquires and grows niche online retailers, where he developed and managed their online properties, from requirements to design to development to launch. As the chief technologist, Rod was also responsible for executing technical diligence on all aspects of newly acquired companies and the merger of those companies into Specialty Retail Shops.

Rod graduated from the University of Missouri with a B.S. in Computer Science with Emphasis in Computer Engineering.
